Samsung to launch cloud service in May

BANGALORE, INDIA: Along with its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S III, Samsung is also planning to make moves into the cloud space, says a report on a Korean news website, Maeil Business.

The smartphone major, allegedly in partnership with Microsoft, will launch its cloud based service, S-Cloud at the event in London on May 3, 2012, adds the report. This service will compete against the likes of Apple’s iCloud.

"Samsung S3 `sequel` Galaxy will be released by applying a cloud service capabilities."

Moreover, as with iCloud, S-Cloud will allow users to send content up to the cloud and sync that across multiple devices. However, S-Cloud will not come with the content-uploading limitations found in Apple's offering, adds the report.
