Samsung launches a new flip phone

Samsung has unveiled a new flip smartphone named Samsung W2018 phone for Chinese markets. The smartphone, first reported by GizmoChina maker has teamed up with China Telecom and announced that the W2018 will go on sale in coming days.

The Samsung W2018 phone features a 4.2-inch outer Super AMOLED FullHD display with Gorilla Glass 5 and a 4.2-inch inner FullHD display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and comes with 6GB RAM. The device comes in two storage models: either 64GB or 256GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, the device has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is a  12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.5 aperture. The W2018's primary camera can reportedly switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4 depending upon the lighting conditions.

The smartphone is backed by a 2,300 mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 out of the box. Additionally, the device also offers features such as Bixby support, USB-C support and a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.

The company has not officially announced the price of the device.
