NEW DELHI, INDIA: A research study by Smartprix has revealed top smartphones search among youth.
The top three brands are Samsung, Micromax, HTC. Samsung and Micromax are fighting neck-to-neck in terms of popularity. Samsung got a dip in the middle of the financial year but managed to maintain in the last months.
Samsung maintained its leadership in the smartphone market with 20 percent people searching in March 2015, followed by Micromax which stands at 15 percent, HTC at 11 percent, Xiaomi at ten percent and Motorola at 6 percent.
"As a large chunk of Indian users is migrating to affordable smarter devices from feature phones, smartphone sales in India and with the availability of comparison portals like smartprix.co, it becomes easy for consumers to compare between various options they have and go for best available options," the company said.
Apple's brand search share increased from 2 percent to 5 percent after the release of iPhone 6 and 6 plus.
Nokia which was acquired by Microsoft is declining and Microsoft is inclining according to the study.
