BANGALORE, INDIA: Salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, on Wednesday announced the availability of Force.com Sites, a new capability that expands the cloud platform to deliver real-time Web sites and Web applications.

With the addition of Force.com Sites, companies can now use Force.com to build and run applications for their internal business processes as well as public-facing Web sites - entirely on salesforce.com's real-time cloud computing platform.

The availability of Force.com Sites dramatically expands Force.com’s role in enterprise cloud computing by providing companies the fastest way to build and run Web sites and applications in real-time without requiring any software or hardware infrastructure, said a press release.

Web sites built with this site benefit from the proven security, reliability and scalability of salesforce.com’s real-time platform.

“Force.com Sites dramatically expands Force.com’s leadership in cloud computing for the enterprise. With Force.com Sites, customers can now run any Web site in our cloud. We expect the community to unleash entirely new kinds of applications and innovations that realize our vision of 'The End of Software,’” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO, salesforce.com.
