BANGALORE: VeriSign’s Indian arm, SafeScrypt, has rolled out its range of
security and trust solutions for Microsoft platforms. These include solutions
for MS Exchange, Microsoft IIS servers, .NET initiatives and secure downloading
of software on the Web.
"We are happy to be associated with Microsoft in India. We are confident
this will greatly complement Microsoft offerings in the fast-growing Indian
market," said SafeScrypt’s managing director Atul Saran.
VeriSign root keys come pre-embedded in Microsoft applications thus making
certificates issued by SafeScrypt in India globally interoperable and instantly
compatible with MS applications. "The objective is to help enterprises in
transforming their business processes to be e-enabled to achieve efficiencies
and reach, seamlessly handle supply chain, distribution and customers
online," said Saran.
He added that trust was the cornerstone of any business. In the context of
e-business, a secure communication facility through digital certificates and
signatures would help organizations create a trusted online information exchange
environment for employees, buyers and suppliers.
