Saaspoint, which specializes 100 percent inSoftware-as-a-Service (SaaS) implementation and consulting, will leverage Google Apps to deliver cost-effective desktop and mobile applications to enterprise and SMB customers.

“We established our new business transformation consulting practice partly in response to increased market demand for better return from IT investment,” commented Colm Mulcahy, CEO, Saaspoint. “In the current market all organizations need to review expenditure across the board including IT. Google Apps Premier Edition offers a broad set of powerful APIs that enable us to integrate and deliver applications to the desktop at a fraction of the cost of traditional software.”

Google Apps brings simple, powerful communication and collaboration tools to organizations. With Google Apps, users can use tools such as Gmail web services, Google Calendar shared calendaring, and Google Docs on their own domain to work together more effectively. As it is hosted by Google, there is no hardware or software to download, install or maintain.

"We are delighted that Saaspoint has joined our Google Enterprise Partner program focused on Google Apps,” commented Peter Lorant, Head of EMEA Partners at Google Enterprise. "We are actively expanding our partner program to help our customers rapidly unlock value. As Saaspoint is both a SaaS specialist and a user of Google Apps internally, we are keen for them to play a valuable role in increasing the adoption of Google Apps."

The Google Enterprise Partner program includes developers, consultants and independent software vendors that provide value-added services for Google enterprise products.
