Voice Messenger Force (VMF) brings peer-to-peer voice messaging to Windows

CE-based Pocket PCs. Riding on the popular MSN Messenger Service, VMF allows

users to initiate a voice conversation with their MSN Messenger buddies on

Pocket PCs as well as on the desktop. The product comes with a free desktop

companion software that allows MSN Messenger Service users on the desktop to

send and receive voice messages from their Pocket PC buddies.

Voice conversations can be launched by directly selecting a user from the

contact list or from within an existing instant messaging session. All present

management and privacy rules apply to the initiation of voice conversations,

hence users can have complete control over who can send them voice messages and

when. Voice Messenger Force has been designed to take advantage of the better

sound capabilities of newer Pocket PC 2002 Windows CE models, allowing for

simultaneous two-way conversation.

VMF development manager Sharath Embrandiri says, "Voice Messenger Force

has been built using Ruksun's VoIP library, an optimized version of RTP/RTCP,

specifically designed for supporting voice communications over low-bandwidth

connections".

VMF for the Pocket PC includes enhanced messaging features like multi-user

sessions, device-to-device voice chat and the ability to send scribbles in

addition to text messages. The software also comes with authenticated user

login, access permissions and online status management, contact list management

and presence intimation, asynchronous and real-time messages and notifications.

The VMF has been priced at $ 29.95.

Ruksun develops messaging and connectivity application software for Mobile

and Wireless devices. Ruksun develops wireless messaging solutions that are

device agnostic and carrier independent, across multiple operating systems and

multiple carriers.
