RMSI tops 'Great Place to Work 06' study

BANGALORE: Delhi-based IT consulting and software company RMSI has been ranked first in the Top 25 Great Places to Work in India for the year 2006, ahead of Google India, which came third.

The list of Top 25 Great Places to Work in India was compiled in a study conducted by Grow Talent Company, in collaboration with The Great Places to Work Institute, USA and Business World magazine.

The survey covered industry segments all across India–FMCG, power generation, pharmaceutical, insurance, hospitality, consulting and IT.

Mindtree Consulting and SAP India Labs were ranked sixth and eighth respectively.

Tavant Technologies, IT services provider was ranked seventeenth. This is the first year that Tavant Technologies participated in this study, a Tavant release said.

Ajuba Solutions India, Scope International, Intel Technologies India, Sasken Communication Technologies also figured in the list.

The study conferred four-star ratings for highly desirable company traits like credibility, respect, fairness, and camaraderie.

Computer Sciences Corporation, Qualcomm India, Sierra Atlantic Software Services, Infosys Technologies and Adobe Systems India secured 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th places respectively.

The report also revealed that for the first time despite Bangalore’s predominance as a tech hub, Delhi still houses the happiest employees. Hyderabad finds a place for the first time with Sierra Atlantic Software Services.
