Reliance goes ''digital''

NEW DELHI: Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Retail today announced the launch of its first consumer durable concept store, Reliancedigital in the national capital region.

Reliancedigital is the second format of stores launched by the company in six months.

Ajay Baijal, president and chief executive (consumer durables, IT and telecom) said that the store would be a one stop shop for all technology solutions in the arena of consumer electronics, home appliances, information technology and telecommunications.

The company will invest 25,000 crore in the retail infrastructure and supply chain management for this project.

Reliance officials informed that the company is targeting to set up 150 stores in 70 cities in the next four years time. Baijal said that the company would also offer an end-to-end solution related to all technology products through its service center, ‘RelianceresQ’.
