Through the Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Platform-as-a-Service, Red Hat is providing enterprises with confidence that their teams possess the skills necessary to get the most out of their OpenShift Enterprise environments. The new certification helps tests candidates' knowledge, skills and ability to create, configure, and manage a cloud application platform.

The certification is earned by passing a rigorous practical exam during which candidates must perform real-world tasks typically required in production environments. In preparation for the exam, Red Hat offers Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise Administration , a course aimed at helping customers build their teams' readiness to adopt and use this new technology.

Since its introduction in November 2012, OpenShift Enterprise has provided developers a cloud application platform with a choice of programming languages, frameworks and application lifecycle tools to enhance an enterprise's ability to build the applications it needs and have them run in a cloud architecture.

OpenShift Enterprise also provides a standardized and streamlined developer workflow to provision quickly, build efficiently and get apps to market faster. With its unique Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) approach, OpenShift Enterprise also offers reliable security and multi-tenancy with the ability to subdivide the operating system instances for efficiency.
