NEW DELHI, INDIA: Reliance Communications Limited, a telecom service provider offering nationwide CDMA and GSM mobile services, announced that it had added 11.3 million new subscribers during January- March quarter.
Adding three million new subscribers in March alone, the highest in the industry for the third consecutive month, Reliance Communications had achieved a 11.3 percent growth in quarter-on-quarter subscriber additions.
S P Shukla, president, Wireless Business, Reliance Communications, said: “The overwhelming customer response to our recently launched nationwide GSM services has enabled us to bag 26 percent marketshare and experience over 11.3 percent growth in quarterly net additions."
The company commenced commercial operations of its nationwide GSM service on 30th December 2008 with customer experience programme (CEP) and added five million new subscribers in January 2009.
