Raytheon names Rebecca Rhoads president of Global Business Services

WALTHAM, USA: Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) announced today that Rebecca R. Rhoads has been named president of the company's Global Business Services (GBS) group, effective immediately. Rhoads, a vice president of Raytheon Company, will remain the company's chief information officer (CIO).

The GBS group was established in January 2013 to expand common business operations across the company's enterprise service delivery areas, including sectors of Raytheon's supply chain management, finance, information technology, human resources and advanced media functions. The Global Business Services group includes 3,500 employees worldwide. Rhoads will continue to be based at corporate headquarters in Waltham, Mass.

"For more than 12 years, Rebecca has provided outstanding leadership of our IT operations in a constantly evolving domain," said Raytheon Chairman and CEO William H. Swanson. "Her responsibilities with GBS reflect Rebecca's role at the forefront of Raytheon's efforts to establish and leverage common business systems for operational excellence and customer value."

Rhoads has served as Raytheon CIO since April 2001. With more than 35 years of experience in the defense industry, Rhoads has held a variety of increasingly senior engineering and leadership roles, first at General Dynamics and Hughes, and then Raytheon.
