MUMBAI: The Indian arm of Rational Software of the US is expanding its local
presence and is targeting higher sales growth in the coming months, the head of
its Indian operations said on Wednesday.
"India is one of the biggest markets for us. We definitely want to grow
here," Rational Software Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd. country manager M K
Bharatee told reporters at a news conference in Mumbai.
Bharatee did not elaborate on the company’s growth estimates.
The Indian unit recently opened an office in Mumbai to boost business. The
Indian operations are headquartered in the southern city of Bangalore.
Rational Software Corp of the US makes software for e-businesses. It reported
a turnover of $572 million for the year ended March 31, 2000.
