BANGALORE: India Semiconductor Association (ISA), the representative body of the
national semiconductor industry, today announced the results of its Executive
Council elections 2006. Rajendra Khare, managing director, Broadcom India, has
been elected as the chairperson of ISA for the second consecutive year.
S Janakiraman, president and CEO, MindTree Consulting, has been elected vice
chairperson and V Veerappan, co-founder and vice president of Tessolve Services
will serve as ISA's treasurer.
Members of the ISA Executive Council comprise of corporates represented by
their respective heads.
The other members of the newly elected Executive Council are Dr.Madhusudhan
Atre - Agere Systems India, Jaswinder Ahuja - Cadence Design Systems, Dr.
Satyanarayana Gupta — Open-silicon Research, Dr. Anand Anandkumar - Magma
Design Automation, Dr. Biswadip Mitra - Texas Instruments, Vasudevan Moorthy -
Wipro Technologies and Shiva Gowni — Conexant India.
Poornima Shenoy, president, ISA, said that the executive council plays a
crucial role in steering the future of the semiconductor industry in India and
creating global visibility.
