Features: Canada-based ATI Technologies Inc. has introduced new Radeon

Xpress 1100 series of chipsets, supporting AMD's Turion 64 X2 mobile technology.






The Radeon Xpress 1100 series is built to deliver better mobile computing
experience on the AMD platform, including industry-leading battery life, a 33

per cent faster graphics core, and support for Microsoft Windows Vista. It is

designed to squeeze the maximum productivity and performance out of today's

notebooks, while still resulting in ever thinner and lighter designs due to its

power - and heat-efficient architecture. It will be available through leading

notebook OEMs, including Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, Gateway, and HP.Radeon Xpress 1100 series








According to ATI statement, the Radeon Xpress 1100 series optimizes performance
for the mobile world, providing advanced functionality for today's

graphics-intensive business applications, the latest 3D games, and high-quality

multimedia and digital entertainment.






Some of its features include: Epic battery life - eliminates the need for outlet
hounds to hunt down power at airports and cafes, ATI's fifth-generation power

management technology, Powerplay, that automatically adjusts the balance between

performance and power consumption based on the workload. It is also

future-proof, providing support for the Microsoft Windows Vista premium

experience, including the high-resolution 3D Aero user interface, graphically

intense applications and flawless high-definition content playback.
