Quintant, the new BSP player in the mkt

BANGALORE: Quintant has launched India's first pure play Business Service Provisioning (BSP) company. The company has received the single largest first-round funding for a start-up company to the tune of $ 29.8 million and is promoted by the GMR group, which has a strategic investment.

The company has tied up with Phaneesh Murthy of Primentor for advisory services to provide strategic consulting and service definition to them and he also has a stake in the company. Infact, he admitted that this was first investment from Primentor company.

Speaking on the occasion, Tiger Ramesh, President, Quintant said, " We are excited about pioneering a BSP initiative from India. Quintant will uniquely combine technology, offshore delivery, and business intelligence, to provide customers with long term sustainable cost advantages and business efficiencies".

Among other verticals, it would concentrate on verticals like CRM analytics, equity research and accounting services. The company also plans to increase its head count to 75 over a few months.



Currently the company has a temporary facility operational facility at Bangalore and is readying a 100,000 sq.ft of state of the art facility at its own 10-acre campus in Bangalore. The company has offices at London, Toronto and at San Francisco and promises to have a European center by the end of 2003.
