QualCore India to double its staff

HYDERABAD: IP and design services provider QualCore Logic India MD MLN Acharyulu stated, "QualCore India is the first Indian design services company to have three tape outs 10-million gate chips in 0.13 micron technology. These three chips have applications in networking and telecom."

The company is aiming to become a one-stop-shop for digital, analog, mixed-signal, high-speed board design and embedded software design services.

In this regard the company's parent in the US, QualCore Logic Inc. has acquired Texas-based provider of analog and mixed-signal silicon IP LEDA Systems Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

"Acquisition of LEDA Systems expands Qualcore’s portfolio of digital IP and design services enabling it to offer mixed-signal SoC design services. Also, the acquisition has taken the people-strength of the group to 220," said QualCore Logic Inc. CEO & Chairman Ashok Jain.

"As a consequence of LEDA acquisition we expect to generate revenue to the tune of $20 million in the next 12 months," said Jain. The company is now focusing on the Indian market.

"We will be tapping the domestic market aggressively, leveraging our domain knowledge in communications and security," said Acharyulu.

"The acquisition gives us a headstart of at least 18 months," said Jain who is also the CEO of TeraBurst Network (TBN) the holding company of Qualcore Logic Inc. (QualCore Group Inc USA was acquired by TBN Inc. USA in December 2002).
