The conference starts from Bangalore on March 1, 2002. A media statement

mentioned that the concept of tour comes from the need to share best practices

and papers across Asia Pacific and mutually benefit from the rich software

experience of Asia Pacific academia, industry and government.

QAI, Executive Director, Navyug Mohnot said, "Software is the Process,

and in the new millennium, processes will need to respond to the demands of

enabling delivery in Internet Time. If so, the importance of an annual

conference on software process improvement cannot be overstated".

The SEPG " Best of Best" Award jury will be headed by Mark Paulk,

SEI, CMU, USA. The Conferences’ high point is the handing out of Best Paper
