The apps will provide information like power prices and trends to its clients, and help participants place error-free bids on electricity exchanges. Bijli Bazaar, an information dissemination portal available on web at www.bijlibazaar.in, will provide important information to citizens, market participants and government stakeholders on power market prices, volumes, trends and demand and supply.

It will also offer information to open access consumers on cost savings that they can achieve by procuring power through the open access. The app is available only for Android mobile users at present, but will be launched shortly for Apple mobile users also.

Bijli Vyapar, on the other hand, is a utilitarian power trading tool serving market participants trading power on the power exchanges. Through this app, Open Access users trading through PTC India can place their bids on power exchange for sale and purchase through their mobile phones with a few clicks. The application serves to provide convenience, ease of business, and error free bidding to PTC clients trading power on exchanges.

Both the digital initiatives will continue adding more relevant features with time with an aim to encourage a whole new level of engagement between market makers and users.
