17 PSUs to invest Rs. 1.63 lakh in FY 2012-13

17 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) have committed to invest Rs. 1,63,847 crore for the year 2012-13 in a meeting under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.

The CPSEs included ONGC that has proposed Rs. 40,975 crore, SAIL has proposed Rs. 14,500 crore, NTPC and OIL committed for Rs. 20,995 crore and Rs. 10,378 crore, respectively, as said by Praful Patel, Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises to the Parliament.

The total Capital available with Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), at present which could be invested is the Cash and Bank balance, as indicated in the PE Survey (2010-11) stand at Rs. 2,84,153 crore, subject to the requirements of the CPSEs for working capital requirements and unforeseen expenditures.
