Premji buys Birla shares

BANGALORE: Wipro chairman Azim Premji had bought two lakh shares of Birla Corporation Ltd, RS Lodha, chairman of Birla Corporation, told reporters after chairing the 86th annual meeting of the company in Kolkata.

Premji had bought the shares from the secondary market in his personal capacity.

Lodha said on Tuesday that Premji's decision to buy the shares proved that the company still held an attractive investment proposition despite the legal wrangles over the will of the late Priyamvada Birla.
