BANGALORE: Serena Software, Inc has announced that Premera Blue Cross, healthcare provider

deployed a comprehensive application lifecycle solution from Serena to align IT and business objectives

through a centralized software change management system.

In recent years, Premera has faced rapid growth with an addition of thousands of new health plan members including Microsoft and Weyerhaeuser. It has also achieved a new level of rigorous financial reporting and stringent government audit requirements. Yet, Premera has non-standardized, inefficient software and processes in place. IT projects and audits involves cumbersome, time-intensive gathering and sharing of information among developers and business owners.

To resolve such problems Premera turned to Serena Software, which would automate and streamline software change processes by reducing time spent on gathering information to meet the audit requirements.
