Pravin Desale is LSI India MD

BANGALORE, INDIA: LSI Corp. has named Pravin Desale to the position of managing director of LSI India operations. In his new role, Desale will be responsible for driving business growth, advancing the LSI India R&D strategy, and spearheading the growth of the LSI organization in India. The company currently employs approximately 580 people in Bangalore and Pune.

Desale will help drive key initiatives and infrastructure for LSI India and support company business units in the development and management of alliances, partnerships and relationships with customers, suppliers, universities and government entities. He will also be responsible for managing the storage product portfolio and business development.

Desale brings more than 16 years of experience in engineering, business management and the development of various embedded technologies and products. He has also founded multiple startup companies, successfully integrating them into larger multinational corporations. Desale holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, California (USA) and a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from College of Engineering, Pune (India).
