GE Capital International Services (GECIS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of GE Capital, signed
a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for establishing an
IT-enabled services business at Hyderabad. GECIS will purchase the land from Andhra
Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd, availing theh incentives available unde
the IT policy of the state.
The company will establish the facility by employing 4,000 people within three years. The
incentives available include a rebate on land cost linked to the number of persons
employed upto a maximum of Rs 20,000 per employee. The company can also run three shift
operations.
