As a start, the GoI has launched toll-free number 1800-3000-7800. This service will facilitate those citizens of the country who wish to record their problems, thoughts or questions for the PM to address during his interactive radio program, Mann Ki Baat.

Helping the GoI in this endeavor is MyOperator, the cloud-based call management system.

Thus far, users had to log on to the open forum on the MyGov.in website or send letters to connect with the government. Now with the option of recording one’s comments through call, the PM and the Mann Ki Baat program will be able to reach a much wider audience throughout the country.

Ankit Jain CEO and Founder, MyOperator, said, “Internet penetration rates are still not high enough across the nation and the propensity to send physical mail is decreasing every day. In this scenario, we feel that the toll-free number will become one of the most preferred ways of interacting with the Prime Minister’s Office as it is most accessible, quick and cost-effective for a majority of the population.”
