Plustek launches OpticSlim M12 Plus

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Plustek has announced the availability of OpticSlim M12 Plus card scanner in the Indian market. This compact product is suitable for the marketing executives and the people who believe in virtual office environment. Without the need of any power adapter or time for warming up, it perfectly complements the highly mobile executives in their missions.

Just by connecting it to a PC, it can scan documents like business cards, checks, receipts, expense reports or the legal documents—at a speed of 3 pages per minute (ppm) in color mode.

The in-built OCR software automatically recognizes the characters and captures all characters with distinct clarity. There are only two buttons on the scanner – one custom button for converting the documents into image, PDF and text format and another scan button for scanning the documents into various image formats such as JPG, BMP, TIF and PCX.

The business card data stored can also be synchronized, exported and imported to and from various mail messaging formats including WinCE PDA, Palm, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Lotus Notes, CSV and VCard files.

The OpticSlim M12 Plus comes with software including NewSoft Presto! ImageFolio 4.5, NewSoft Presto! PageManager 7.10, ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint, Hotcard BizCard Finder 2.5, etc.
