The Plustek A300 Standalone Solution is an ideal solution for libraries, schools, graphic designers, publishing companies, hospitals, law firms, court houses and financial institutions.  It scans thick books without unbinding or dismantling them, making it a perfect solution for digitizing and preserving precious and valuable books, said a press release.

The solution includes a patented design that eliminates the book spine shadow and text distortion of traditional book copying and scanning. Plustek’s patent-pending SEE Technology (Shadow Elimination Element) combines a patented lamp light with a special edge design that allows the scanning module to scan right up to where the book spine is placed. The design avoids the need for a large, expensive overhead scanner or complicated image-editing software, the release said.

The touch screen panel design makes it more fancy and user friendly. The scanned documents can be sent any destination without the requirement of a PC, users can store the documents in a USB flash drive either in PDF or JPG format.

The solution is capable of scanning an A3 size page in few seconds. It also creates crisp sharp images of the pages, which can then be turned into different formats. It can take any paper till large books to perform variable scanning from 50 dpi up to 1200 dpi, the release added.
