Pinnacle to introduce analog TV sticks in India

NEW DELHI: Pinnacle Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Avid Technology, has said that it would introduce Pinnacle TV sticks in India from next year.

Sharing the information with CyberMedia News, Ashish Bakshi Pinnacle’s manager for India RIM, said: “We would be introducing analog TV sticks by the second half of next year, and would be targeting at the laptop user segment, given the phenomenal sales of notebooks and laptops in recent times.”         

He further said that the focus would be on the analog TV sticks would be converging mobility and entertainment.

“The Mac compatible versions would also be available and the Indian pricing would be finalised in February next year,” Bakshi added.

Earlier, the company announced a tie-up with Monsoon Multimedia, a technology start-up with focus on digital video technologies for selling the latter’s world’s first next generation wireless video streaming solution that integrates video time-shifting and place shifting technologies to let consumers play their TV anywhere.

The product, which Pinnacle has signed an exclusive agreement, would be sold under the name of PCTV To Go through retail and its usual channels in North America and will soon expand the presence in the India RIM markets.
