Philips enters the Indian mobile market

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Philips Mobile, announced its foray into the Indian mobile market with its new range of smartphones W6610, W3500, S308 and also a feature phone E130 targeting at business professionals, technology enthusiasts and durability segment.

CEC sees a huge opportunity in the Indian smartphone market and aggressively aiming to provide phones to a wide segment of consumers, where patterns and preferences are constantly evolving. The products are priced between Rs 1,960 - 35,000.

The company is looking to create maximum value for partners and consumers by providing class products and after sales services. Philips mobile phones are designed with good battery performance, advanced and user-friendly features and an elegant form factor, so customers can stay connected with what matters most always.

While opportunities exist in the top metros, CEC sees volumes coming from Tier II, III & IV towns as well, and is putting in place a strong distribution network to address these markets and ensure their products are available to customers across the country.
