Philips launches camera phone

NEW DELHI: Philips India Ltd. has announced the launch of its latest mobile handset - Philips 355. The phone features an integrated camera and has a dedicated 'snapshot' key ensuring that it is ready for action anytime, even in the dark, without a flash and the in-built night mode lets photographs to be taken in less than ideal conditions.





Philips 355 also comes pre-loaded with a wide range of animated greeting cards for any occasion. Its picture talk function lets users combine their captured images with a voice tag that they can send to friends and family via MMS. Users can even tag photo shots of friends with the associated address book entry using the FotoCall feature.





Philips 355's display is capable of up to 65k colors and the screen is large enough to handle up to eight lines of text. The phone also includes a music mixing software - BeDJ, a mini sound studio, which allows users to enjoy the music embedded in the phone, downloaded via WAP or received over MMS, and edit them together to make original mixes.





The Philips 355 weighs 82g. Philips 355 can go for upto four hours on talk time and 400 hours on standby time. The Philips 355 comes in three colors: Red Lava, White Antarctic and Turquoise Ocean and is available at a price of Rs 6,990 except in Bihar, Assam & Jharkahand where the price is Rs 7,630.
