Paytm revamps the design for its iOS app

Digital payments wallet firm Paytm has rolled out a major update to its app. The overhaul drastically changes the layout of the mobile app making money transfers simpler and faster besides offering instant transfers from a user’s Paytm Payments Bank account, Paytm Wallet, or any other bank at 0 percent fee. Further, Passbook, which contains account history and balance, has been revamped to present all information in a snapshot.

Kiran Vasireddy, COO of Paytm, said in a statement, "We are very excited to introduce the new revamped interface on Paytm App. In continuation of our constant effort to provide our customers with the best user experience, the new design is refreshing and has upgraded to some of the most important flows including money transfers."

“Our offline payments have also scaled as we pioneered Paytm QR, enabling merchants to accept payments directly into their bank accounts.” Vasireddy further added. The company’s target this year is to record ‘exponential growth’ in transactions done in the unorganized sector.

Paytm will now also show recent payments or use cases on the home screen itself so that for making the second round of payment the customer will just need to click, type the amount and make the payment.

The update is available on the Apple App Store as version 7.0 for iOS users, and on the beta version of Android on Google Play Store.
