Patton to fulfill telecom needs of Indian SMBs

CHENNAI, INDIA: With Indian small and medium businesses (SMBs) aiming to scale high and compete globally, they are becoming liberal in spending on IT. As they expand their presence, they also keep updating the technologies - telecommunication and networking. This liberal spending helps them see a good growth and achieve desired results.

Patton Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., a leader in the production of network access and connectivity products, has entered India in a big way and had been aggressively targeting the Indian SMB market. In an exclusive interview with CIOL, Subramanian, VP - Product management and Guru Krishnan, associate product manager of Patton Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., talk about adoption of latest communications products by Indian SMBs.

CIOL: Patton has entered India in a big way. How have you been addressing the communication needs of Indian small and medium businesses (SMBs?)

Subramanian & Guru Krishna: The local market in India expects telecom equipment providers to deliver best-in-class technology. We are committed to exceeding those expectations. Patton India is an integrator's integrator. We deliver end-to-end solutions with proven interoperability. In the days ahead, we aspire to become one stop shop for Telecom needs of Indian customers.

As a solutions provider, and member of the Triple Play Alliance, Patton-India will offer system design, integration and support services. We address the SMB needs through our Channel Networks.

CIOL: Do you see an increase in spending by Indian SMBs on communication products/solution?

Subramanian & GK: Indian telecom market is world-class. We have set up shop to take active part in the growth of this segment. We see a quantum jump in communication spending by Indian SMBs in the days ahead. Indian SMBs are technology hungry all the time, and prefer the best of class products, but at operationally cost-effective prices. Our products are aimed at providing solutions that will be attractive in terms of being less OPEX for the customers.

CIOL: In your view, are Indian SMBs robust enough in their communications network that helps in business growth?

Subramanian & GK: Indian SMBs are reasonably robust in their communication network and there are huge improvements in technology adoption. In order to keep the competition at bay, they are ready to innovate through technology that will help them deliver with distinct advantages to the needs of their customers.
