Patch for Adobe's zero-day vulnerability

BANGALORE, INDIA:Adobe on Thursday released a patch for its zero-day vulnerability. The company has advise all users to download the patch immediately.

Users of Internet Explorer and another browsers have been advised to download the patch twice. Once for IE and a second time for all other browsers.

Malicious hackers had been exploiting a zero-day (unpatched) vulnerability in Adobe’s ever-present PDF Reader/Acrobat software to hijack data from compromised computers.

According to and previous advisory, critical vulnerability existed in Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.2 and earlier versions. It was being exploited in the wild.

Adobe had activated its security response process but had declined to offer any more details until an investigation is complete.

The vulnerability was detected by Webscence Security Lab and issued an alert.
