Pai and Murthy to step down from Infosys

BANGALORE, INDIA: While every one was awaiting the results of new appointment, Infosys Technologies will witness three major departures from the Board, that would take place over next few months.

The big names includes N. R. Narayana Murthy, founder - chairman of the Board and chief mentor, Mohandas Pai, member of the Board of directors of Infosys, and head — administration, education and research, finacle, human resources.

According to the BSE filing by the company, “The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on April 15, 2011, transacted the following- appointment of Ravi Venkatesan as additional director of the company, resignation of T. V. Mohandas Pai and retirement of K. Dinesh.”

Pai joined Infosys in 1994 and has served as a member of the board since May 2000. He was the chief financial officer from 1994 to 2006. In 2006, he voluntarily demitted the office of CFO to lead efforts in the areas of human resources and education and research.

Dinesh is a co-founder and a member of the board of Infosys Technologies Limited. He is the head of quality, information systems and the communication design group. He is also the chairman of Infosys Technologies Australia Pvt Ltd., an Infosys subsidiary.

Infosys Technologies Ltd has informed BSE that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company will be held on April 30, 2011, to finalize plans for the company's leadership succession, post N. R. Narayana Murthy's, retirement as chairman of the board in August 2011.

While Mohandas Pai's resignation from the board of the company will come to effect from June 11.
