The November 17-19 conference has been organised by IMT in association with the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and The Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA).

Microsoft country director Neeraj Prakash delivered the key note address. He said there are three key transformations in computing which are changing the data landscape across the world.

"These are: proliferation of devices and form factors beyond the traditional computers -- the likes of smart phones and tablets/slates; leveraging of the social media/networks for computing beyond personal needs and increased availability of cloud services for applications, storage and computing requirements across all layers," he said.
