BANGALORE: Infosys today responded to Wipro chairman Azim H. Premji's comment that Wipro has a superior business model than Infosys.

Infosys's chief financial officer T.V. Mohandas Pai told CIOL that his company's growth rate over the last five years speaks for their model.

"It is not our policy to comment on other companies. However, if you look at our fact record, Infosys has had the best growth rate among technology majors from India over the last five years," Pai said.

Earlier in the day, speaking to reporters after the announcement of Wipro's Q1 results, Premji said that his company has a superior global delivery model than its competitor, Infosys.

"Though it is not fair for me to comment on the business models or structures of other IT firms, I think Infosys is still struggling with its global delivery model due to increasing verticalization of its businesses. Whereas, we are clear on what we want to do," Premji said.
