Oracle elevates William T Comfort as chairman

MUMBAI, INDIA: Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd., a provider in business software solutions, today announced the appointment of William T Comfort, Jr, as the chairman of the board of Directors with effect from March 24, 2009. Prior to this position Comfort was associated as independent director of the board.

Rajesh Hukku, who has led the growth of the Company as its chairman since year 2000, would continue to serve as a director on the board of OFSS and lead Oracle's strategy in financial services as general manager of Oracle's Financial Services Global Business Unit (FSGBU) and chairman of the OFSS Executive Management Committee, said a press release.

Comfort has been associated with the company as a board member since 2002, and is currently serving as chairman of Citigroup Venture Capital and as the chairman of Investment Committee of Court Square Capital Partners.

It also announced the shifting of its Mumbai office from Andheri to its Oracle Park in Goregaon, Mumbai with effect from March 24, 2009, the release added.
