Oracle to deploy Helm bank's core banking soln

OracleBANGALORE, INDIA: IT company Oracle said on Thursday that Helm Bank, a Colombian private financial institution, has selected its software and hardware to run its core banking, customer-facing services and marketing functions.

The platform includes Oracle Flexcube Universal Banking, which runs on Oracle Exadata Database Machine that delivers good performance, said a press release.

Oracle Exadata provides high performance for both data warehousing and online transaction processing (OLTP) applications, making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto private clouds, the release added.

The bank will also implement Oracle’s Siebel CRM to streamline customer data management and enable superior customer service. It also selected Oracle Financial Management Services, Oracle Database 11g, Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Identity Management and Oracle SOA Suite.

“We selected Oracle to help us to speed up our time to market for new products, as well as for Oracle’s reputation and performance. Also, with these next-generation tools, we expect to continue to improve operational risk, automation level and customer’s satisfaction and loyalty,” said Jorge Acevedo, chief information officer, Helm Bank.
