Oracle brings Oracle Fusion Architecture to India

NEW DELHI: Oracle has introduced its Oracle Fusion Architecture (OFA) in India. OFA is a standards-based technology blueprint that details the links between enterprise applications, middleware and grid computing infrastructure.

The launch was part of the APAC launch of OFA by Oracle. The company is organizing road shows all over APAC region to educate its customers about OFA.

OFA is based on the five core principles, namely, model driven, service & event- enabled, information centric, grid-ready and standards-based. Its components include Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Fusion Service Registry, Oracle Fusion Service Bus, Business Process Orchestration, Business Intelligence and Business Activity Monitoring and Unified Portal.

Oracle also announced that a significant number of independent software vendors (ISVs), value added resellers and system integrator in APAC use Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) to provide their customers with comprehensive, integrated middleware solution.

OFM is the newly created brand for Oracle's family of existing middleware products, which includes all of the products needed to integrate a number of diverse business applications. Key partners throughout APAC supporting OFM include i-flex Solutions Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, 3i Infotech Pte Ltd, etc.

Oracle Corporation Asia-Pacific division OFM sales VP Roland Slee said, “Globally, we have seen a lot of interest being generated in government, financial services, telecom and manufacturing, retail and distribution segments for OFM. In India too, we expect a similar scenario. ”

Speaking on the occasion, Oracle Corporation Asia-Pacific division technology sales consulting VP Roger Scott also outlined Project Fusion.

He said, “Project Fusion is Oracle's vision for next-generation enterprise technologies, applications, and services that will revolutionize business. The core of this vision is to protect customer investments and to extend and evolve the best functionality from PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Oracle product lines.”
