OnePlus 5T global launch set for November 16; company hints price cap too

OnePlus will launch the successor of it much popular OnePlus 5 on November 16 in Brooklyn, New York. The company has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5T will go on sale in India and other regions from November 21.

OnePlus 5T is expected to sport an end-to-end 6.01-inch display with a 1080x2160 pixels resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is likely to pack a 20-megapixel front and rear camera sensor. The smartphone is also expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo based OxygenOS and will be powered by the same Snapdragon 835 SoC that was present on the original OnePlus 5 flagship.

OnePlus 5T will also have an “early access sale” on November 21 at 16.30 IST on Amazon India and oneplusstore.in. The official sale for OnePlus 5T will start from November 28, says the company.

The device will also be available through all sales channels in the country soon after.

As for the pricing, CEO Pete Lau revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be priced under CNY 4,000 (roughly Rs 39,000 or $600) while replying to a comment on a Weibo post; the final price in India may go north of Rs 40,000 due to import duties and other levies.
