Designed for enabling current and future generation home and office automation applications, ON Semiconductor’s broad portfolio of industrial devices gives market-leading levels of ruggedness and reliability in addition to supporting the drive for low power, high efficiency design, said a press release.

On Semi said the new AMIS-30523 integrates a stepper motor driver and CAN transceiver in a single package, two-die device. The configuration can be used to control multiple motors of the same type on a single bus, and delivers important space savings in designs where PCB real estate is limited or where a single PCB mounted on the back of the motor is employed, it added.

According to the company, the 1 megabit per second (Mb/s) high-speed AMIS-30523 offers seven step modes from full step up to 32 micro-steps. The new device uses a 5-bit current digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to provide a programmable peak current of up to 1.6 amperes.

The new NCP1090, NCP1091 and NCP1092 are high power, Power over Ethernet Powered Devices (PoE-PD) interface controller that provide cost-effective and reliable integrated detection, classification and ‘hot-swap’ control in applications such as wireless access point (AP), voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), and video over IP, said the release.

The rugged new devices integrate an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE-PD interface controller and offer best-in-class power delivery of up to 40 watts (W) plus high durability due to a three kilo volt (KV) cable discharge immunity, it added.
