Taxi aggregator OLA has announced that it will hire 10,000 ex-servicemen by 2020.
For this, the tax aggregator has partnered with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), under Ministry of Defence.
"Ola Sainik will allow them to work with pride and flexibility as entrepreneurs on the Ola platform," Yugantar Saikia, Senior Vice President, Ola, said in a prepared statement.
Ola will also help them with training and empower them to grow as skilled micro-entrepreneurs on the Ola platform, he said.
Ola Sainik will also make available ex-servicemen larger benefits like training, education and insurance for their family members on the Ola app, he said, adding the first batch of Sainiks are expected to join the Ola platform this week.
