Ola brings hackathon for developers and product managers

BANGALORE, INDIA: Ola is conducting a hackathon on Feb 7th and 8th and is inviting India’s best to showcase their skills and win prizes up to INR 500,000.

The event is free and open to all experienced and novice developers and will take place in Bangalore. Participants staying outside Bangalore can participate online by registering by Feb 6, 2015. Over 1,000 registrations are expected, from which final participants would be shortlisted for this Appathon. Winners will be chosen based on several criteria including idea, execution, user experience, final presentation and code quality.

For this Appathon, participants will be given unique problem sets related to mobility. They can choose to build their products in teams of 3 or 4, which will include a product manager. Venturesity will also provide relevant study material to participants who register early, to help them prepare for the hackathon.
