OCT is a full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded in 2005 in St. Petersburg. OCT are operating in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

"We have been working with Flex since March 2013", said Dmitry Sharov, president of OCT. "Offering a PSA platform rather than a stand-alone CTMS product, the Flex system has the tools to redefine what it means to be an efficient service organisation. With every step we take, we can feel the technology lifting the weight off our shoulders. The workflow tool allows us to standardise every process, from a monitoring visit to hiring a new employee, while giving senior management full visibility on the status of each workflow."

"We are happy to see OCT leveraging the full potential of our platform", said Timur Galimov, Technical director of Flex Databases. "Workflows are probably the most important tool in our toolbox. Imagine a virtual automated assembly line. This is what the workflow tool does for a process - once activated, it starts engaging people in the process, passing the task from one person to another, running checks and triggering alarm if something doesn't go as planned. Running a complex business process without a workflow tool is like building a car without an assembly line - it can be done, but it takes twice the time and costs twice the money."
