Developed indigenously, the tool offers a wide range of

features targeted at the Indian market, particularly FMCG, retail and automotive

industries and also for banks and financial institutions. The product is designed to be

cost effective and affordable for all segments, especially the Small and Medium

Enterprises (SME) segment. It is priced at Rs 5 to 8 lakh for 10 user licenses and is

bundled with the datawarehousing package.

Sridhar Ramaswamy, Managing Director, OBSI, said,

"IntelliMine has been developed using in-house talent and data warehousing knowledge

transfer from experience gained in implementing large and complex data warehouse solutions

in the US. Roll-up to summary level or roll-down to the detail are additional features of

this product. The data can also be exported to a range of office applications, which

allows for data manipulation and 'what-if' analysis, thereby tremendously enhancing

decision making."

OBSI will market IntelliMine along with its datawarehouse

consulting services, thereby reducing the time to implement quality data warehouses. It

recently opened a dedicated training academy for increasing awareness in

datawarehousing.

This will lead to the availability of trained professionals for datawarehouse solutions

implementations.
