Finally, I can do shopping from Amazon.com. If you reside in India, you can definitely understand my excitement.

After launching global stores in Mexico and China, Amazon India has launched a global store where Indian users can purchase products listed on the company's US site and pay in Indian currency through options like net banking. No COD, mind you.

The prices will be displayed in local currency inclusive of import duties and taxes through local customer care support and delivery. But warranty will not applicable for India across all products, as per reports.

The products will get delivered in 2-12 days. India Post, DHL and Aramex will be the third party logistics providers for products ordered from the Amazon Global Store.

The company will bring brands, which are not available in India, like Nixon watches and Jessica Simpson shoes.

The global store is being launched just before the start of Amazon India's second sale this month from October 17-20.

While initially, it will have products from the US, in future tens of millions of products from key markets like the UK, Germany, and Japan will be listed as well.
