Webaroo is currently supported on mobile devices (PDAs and Smartphones) running Windows Pocket PC 2003 Second Edition operating system. Support for Windows Mobile 5.0 will be made available very soon.

“As mobile use grows, consumers want to be able to do more with their mobile devices” said CEO of Webaroo Rakesh Mathur.

He also informed that in recognition of the appeal of taking the web offline, Acer also announced its plans to bundle the Webaroo software on its laptop PCs worldwide.

The release further states that Webaroo determines the content value based on the diversity, relevancy and quality of the pages. In the future, Webaroo will offer advertisers the ability to reach prospects and customers on their laptops and mobile devices when they're not connected.

Founded in 2004 by entrepreneurs Rakesh Mathur, Brad Husick and Beerud Sheth, the company has offices in Santa Clara, Bellevue, Mumbai and New Delhi.
