STOCKHOLM: Sweden-based company freephoo has extended its free calling application in new countries for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Earlier this month the application was launched in Kuwait.

With freephoo, customers can make free calls with superior audio quality to other freephoo users, and low priced international calls to both fixed and mobile phones, said a press release.

"We are pleased to launch our application in so many new countries and to reach out to even more users. Launching in new markets and supporting more devices has been a top priority for us, since our iPad application rose to the top of several App Store lists when launched earlier this year," says Pandelis Eliopoulos, Co-founder at freephoo.

The company claims that Freephoo is one of the first calling applications that enable users to purchase premium minutes through Apple's App Store and Android Market's own payment systems (In-App Purchase & In-App Products).

"We are pleased to see that so many users convert to our premium service. This gives us great confidence to continue the launch in new markets," says Pandelis Eliopoulos.

Android users can also download the free app from the Android market to make international calls.

Freephoo is currently available in: Algeria, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, FYR Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
