Novell's mobility solution to address growing BYOD trend

BANGALORE, INDIA: Novell a dominant player in the end point management space for more than a decade has been recognized by IDC for its comprehensive mobility solutions suite, which includes Novell Filr, Novell iPrint and Novell ZENworks.

These products address the growing complexity in the enterprise mobility space and are relevant to the growing BYOD trend.

IDC believes in Novell's comprehensive portfolio as it addresses various challenges faced by enterprises today. Sharing files safely is a big challenge that is being faced by most of the enterprises these days. Though, file access has been made easy by cloud file hosting services, but it has raised several security concerns in the past.

Here, Novell Filr empowers enterprises to share and access files on mobile devices without compromising on data security. Novell Filr helps preserve file access controls and regulatory compliance. It also leverages existing file systems and infrastructure

Adding to Novell's Filr, which helps enterprises to manage and secure their data base, iPrint, another product of Novell's suite of products, enables proximity-based printing from Apple and Android devices. iPrint can be used on existing printers of an organization without having to invest in new printers.

To complement Novell's offerings, the recent addition of Novell ZENworks further strengthens the organization's capability to manage growing enterprises as it helps in protecting mobile data with security and access controls.
