Novell, BEA team up for secure Net business

HYDERABAD: Novell Inc., provider of Net Business solutions, has announced

that it has signed an agreement with BEA Systems, an application infrastructure

software company, to build solutions that quickly secure and empower

relationships across the Internet. The companies will provide proven,

industry-leading solutions and services that help customers manage their

business on the Internet more easily, securely and cost effectively.

The first of this partnership, the NovellAE Secure Partner Portal, integrates

Novell's services for security and access with the BEA WebLogic Enterprise

PlatformT to provide a secure, cost-effective way for organizations to manage

and expand relationships with key partners, suppliers and customers. This

partnership builds on the long-standing alliance between BEA Systems and

Cambridge Technology Partners, Novell's global eServices division acquired in

2001, which has delivered numerous eBusiness infrastructure solutions around

solidifying and enhancing customer and partner interaction through the Internet.
